Mounts on any pole with an outside diameter of 0.5-1.5 inches, or to any post, wall, or tree. Has a unique 'elbow' joint that adjusts the mounting arm to angles of -60, -30, 0, 30 and 60 degrees. The 'ball joint' on the mounting arm connects to the standard tripod mount at the bottom of the camera allowing them to swivel 360 degrees.

The mounting arm is really good but I should have placed it on the pole with the feeders for better close-ups. I find that the positioning knob needs to be tightened more than I thought it might, or perhaps I just need to crank it down tighter to start. The BirdCam has a tendency to gradually slip to one side or the other as the knob loosens, maybe with the sway of the pole, and I am afraid to really lean into it but. . . .
